In the news: strengthening of protection of key wetlands in Laos

The article highlights our Laos project, and reports on a recent meeting to strengthen the protection of a key landscape.

The ECILL (Ecosystem conservation through integrated landscape management in Lao People’s Democratic Republic) project aims to protect Lao People’s Democratic Republic’s forests and biodiversity while assisting the rural poor to sustainably manage their resources through an integrated landscape approach and green growth model. Much of the focus was initially on the forests of the north, but the Xe Champhone Wetlands in the south of the country are now finding increased protection.
