New growth after the first rains

The communities of the Amaya Triangle in Northern Kenya are constantly on the move, following the water. The wildlife, too, roams freely within a web of connected conservancies. Early 2022 saw severe drought across the region, leading to conflict between the people and severe undernourishment and death of both the cattle and the wildlife. Finally, in early May, the rains came. The Kenya Rangelands Ecosystem Services Productivity (RangER) Programme in Northern Kenya is one of 19 projects within the EU-funded Landscapes For Our Future, which aims to develop and scale more impactful and inclusive landscape solutions. https://landscapesfuture.org
